Reducing your cost of ownership:

  • In sourcing special products and pricing, we work closely with universities, manufacturers, and distributors. For example, we participate in the negotiation of universities’ licensing agreements that include distribution of the products to faculty, staff, and students.
  • We assume the responsibility of distributing and tracking the sales of licensed products to qualified individuals.
  • In order to minimize the customer’s procurement time we utilize our IS support team in Houston. For example our POS queries the UT Austin community member database directly to determine whether the individual is qualified to buy the licensed product or not. This reduces the waiting time for individuals to buy licensing products.
  • Another example is the streamlining of department invoices. We include PO balance by listing invoices issued against the PO. We send invoices via e-mail so that the individual responsible for receiving and using the product approves the payment and forwards the invoice to accounts payable.
